Hey everyone,
I’m almost fully back to work after my shoulder injury, and the todo list didn’t get shorter in the meantime 😅 the let’s get right into it what’s up this week:
I’m joining Drip Haus
On Wednesday, my first drop on Drip Haus starts with a 7 day countdown. Yet another platform for digital collectibles? Well, Drip is a little different.
Instead of sharing my work into the void that social media platforms are today (with only the platforms making profits off my work), I share it to a platform where I can get financial support for doing so. The cool thing is that this is not only speaking to a elite high value collector base, but you can also collect my work for free, or decide to support me to get special rare artworks. There's no financial gatekeeping involved if you just want to collect for fun!
All you have to do to secure my Drip Bazaar is sign up & subscribe to my profile before the countdown runs out. You then have 7 days to claim the artwork for 10 droplets (you get droplets for free every couple hours).
Suits of Life Playing Cards
After 8 years, I’m working on a custom Playing Card Deck again! Suits of Life is directly connected to my actions on Drip I mentioned above, as I will drop the cards there first. You can collect them, and eventually get printed cards as rewards as well (hopefully even a full card deck at some point).
If you’d like to be among the first to see new cards and some insights into the process, check out my Patreon! I just posted some of the first cards there.
A word on Cara
You probably saw that one app all over artist’s IG accounts already: Lots of people join Cara these days, in hopes for a better place to share their work - without Meta taking it to train AI programs.
It does feel stupid to jump from app to app (Bluesky, Mastodon, Farcaster, Foto, Vero etc. etc.) in hopes to find something with a sustainable future. But I see it as part of my job these days to at least set up a profile and check those apps out, and I’m grateful for founders who try to build alternatives against all odds and big tech.
I don’t know if Cara will be that alternative and if we still speak about it in a year. But so far, it’s doing a great job and you can follow me here, if you like!
That’s all for today, thanks for reading! The next months will be exciting, with lots of personal project stuff to share, so I’m glad you’re with me! 😊
Cheers
Stefan
I feel the same about Cara at the moment it seems really nice and honestly better than any other platform that has arisen in the last few years. I too see it as my job to make an account on them all just to see if it sticks. I have hopes for Cara but leaving Instagram probably won't be an option for me.
