Hey everyone!
I’ve been wondering lately..as a freelance artist, shouldn’t I be making art most of the time? 😅 The last weeks I had to market & sell my projects, squabble with idiots at the tax office, write newsletters (haha), produce social media content, and more…
It’s crazy how small the real art making part can become at times. An important information about this job that sometimes doesn’t seem to be taught to beginners enough.
The good news: I’m back to drawing a lot in the last two weeks, and also got exciting new commissions coming up!
Another good news:
9 days before the end, we reached another stretch goal for the Lines book: already 15.000 EUR have been raised for the campaign! This means that everyone’s books will get 4 extra pages/2 extra artworks, among all the other free extras that have already been unlocked.
New YouTube video:
Do you follow me on YouTube already? I’m experimenting with different video ideas and formats lately, here’s my latest one:
I’m working on documenting my process more and better lately, to produce material for tutorials and speedpaintings. There’s also a plan to release a bigger video course about my art - production starts soon if everything goes as planned, I’ll keep you in the loop here!
New magazine illustration
One of the commissions I’ve been working on is this piece for Cyrano - a local design agency. They asked me to draw future trends of communication for their 25y-anniversary magazine. Here’s the outlines for you, I’ll share the colored version once it’s done & printed. 😊
I hope I can also get a bit into gaming in the next weeks, my pile of shame is growing again. And I’d like to setup my racing wheel and try the new Forza Motorsport! What are your games for this fall?
That’s it for today, thanks for reading!
Cheers
Stefan
