Hi friends - it’s been two years since I finished the work on the first three Singing Doors artworks. A series I’ve loved sharing ever since. And now, finally, I’ve finished adding a second season to the series. Today, I’d like to present the digital and physical collectibles I’m making available.
Season 2 Drop on Exchange (Solana)
Drop date: The digital collectibles will drop on Exchange (Solana) on Thursday, May 2nd, 8 PM CEST. You can find the drop page here!
Edition size: There will be a 1/1 auction (Edinburgh), a 10/10 edition (Barcelona) and a 25/25 edition (Florence).
Pricing: Final prices are due to changes if Solana moves a lot. However I’d like to keep similar USD prices to the first season, which results in around 1.5 and 2.5 SOL for the editions.
Presale: Attention holders of any Singing Doors or Azahi’s Workshop collectibles - you will be eligible for a Presale starting 24h before the public sale, incl. a slight discount. The snapshot will be on Monday, 8 PM CEST.
Limited and Open Edition Prints
Each collector of a digital edition will be able to claim a limited, signed, museum quality art print + gift package. More infos on that later!
Unclaimed prints will go into public sale afterwards.
There will also be a chance to get an Open Edition print later on, for both the first and second season as things stand now!
About Singing Doors - and the weird ways of inspiration
Thanks for reading this far! 😊 Well, I’d also like to share a short bit about this series with you, and why it means so much to me.
A bit more than two years ago, I felt a little creative drain and a lack of inspiration. I decided to go on a short trip by myself, for a change of scene. The spontaneous decision fell for the Basque country as my destination - my fellow artist Matthew “lostkeep” G. Lewis recommended the region, especially Bilbao. And I really wanted to see the Guggenheim museum anyway.
I spent a week hiking and strolling through the countryside and the cities Vitoria and Bilbao, mostly without a clear plan, just looking for nice spots or museums to visit. I took some scribbles and notes and had a good time, and yes: the Guggenheim is absolutely worth a visit!
Back home, I felt a fresh urge to create. Not just anything, but something I took home from that trip made me want to discover my artistic roots even deeper. I felt like taking a step back, into honoring my earliest influences and inspirations. I wanted to create a series that would show my connection to the Ligne Claire style in a more obvious way. This resulted in the first Singing Doors series.
When I felt a similar creative valley earlier this year, I thought that this was a good time to start working on the second season. It’s great to have such a series you can return to, like a cozy place that gives you an artistic direction to work into. The hardest part was deciding for three cities again. 😉 Maybe one day I will add Bilbao to the collection!
Thanks again for reading, I hope you liked that bit!
Cheers
Stefan
